E-Fab Recruitment Looking for Senior Estimator at Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire Full Time

The Senior Estimator will be part of the reconstruction team and shall be responsible for pricing and developing bids for National Highways and Local Authority highways maintenance contracts (£20m+ per annum).
Working closely with the Managing Estimator and the bid team you will assist the business to secure profitable work by producing robust tender estimates. You will lead the development of client tender information into a comprehensive price for tender submission.

As a Senior Estimator your duties & responsibilities will be:
• Responsible for winning work by producing tenders and leading on all financial elements of tender submissions.
• Prepare accurate prices for materials, labour and equipment based on client drawings and specifications.
• Creating, analysing and maintaining correct and accurate quantities and thorough take-offs from designs/data sets.
• Compile subcontractor and material quotation packages and subsequent adjudications
• Price preliminaries and contract overheads/fees
• Understand current market prices and benchmark solutions to increase success rates.
• Prepare tender review and present at tender sign off meetings as required

Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
• Previous relevant estimating experience
• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Surveying preferable
• Particular attention to detail with good project management skills
• Sound mathematical and numeracy skills, with the ability to solve problems analytically
• Ability to communicate at all levels, both verbally and written
• Available to travel on occasion
• Experience using estimating software and IT skills as appropriate
• Understanding of contract conditions (including NEC), specifications and drawings
