ACT Government Hiring for Senior Finance Officer – Finance Business Partner Job at Canberra Full Time

The Strategic Finance and Procurement Branch is looking for a self-motivated, highly capable Senior Finance Officer, to assist with the management of internal budgets and financial management of a designated portfolio within the Education Directorate.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication, and technical accounting skills, be able to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders on a broad range of topics, work in a very busy environment and manage parts of the budget and financial reporting process.

Eligibility/Requirements

Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or previous experience in a finance related role is highly desirable. Working knowledge of the TM1 and Oracle is also highly desirable.

Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for five months.

This position is available to ACT Government officers and employees only.

This position will be operating from a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers do not have a designated workstation/desk.

Our workforce is currently working from home wherever possible. The successful candidate will be provided information on how to safely and effectively work from home. A gradual return to the workplace is anticipated, including the advertised role.
