I am delighted to be partnering again with a long-standing Global client of ours, to assist them with finding their next Financial Accountant to join their highly passionate and driven Finance team. Located in Brisbane’s Western suburbs, our client has had a busy year with a lot of new opportunities arise, which has seen significant growth for the overall business.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant who is looking for their next move to join a Global business going through rapid growth and exciting change.

The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of Balance Sheet and P&L statements
• Assisting in controllership and reporting activities
• Preparation of monthly journals including accruals, prepayments, and payroll journals
• Preparing monthly SG&A analysis and quarterly bridge analytics
• Quarterly review of balance sheet reconciliations and clearing of aged balances
• Maintain lease records and commitments including Bank Guarantees
• Assist in the preparation of the budget
• Preparing auditing requirements, both internally and externally

About you
To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate the following:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working within a Financial Accounting role or similar
• Bachelor/Master of Business (Accounting) with post-graduate qualifications or working towards
• CA or CPA qualified or working towards
• Experience working within both Chartered and Commercial accounting environments
• Experience using QAD, SAP or other major ERPs
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Self-motivated, passionate and a flare for building strong internal and external relationships
