Recruiting for an experienced medical / dental practice finance manager This position is plays a key role in the organization and is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of current and future strategies to improve revenue results by taking a global view of clinical operations, financial processes, function and interdependencies.

Is responsible for managing the patient revenue cycle for all AVH sites by identifying reimbursement and process issues, ensuring that claims, denials and appeals are efficiently processed, and resolving billing-related issues. Primary duties will include training and supervision of billing staff, patient level collections and management, oversight of all billing related processes and monthly reporting and reconciliations.

• Directs overall billing and collections activities in accordance with current applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations.

• Serves as subject matter expert in FQHC billing, coding, and reimbursement.

• Maintains contacts with other departments to obtain and analyze additional patient information to document and process billings.

• Interacts with billing and collections team on a day-to-day basis to improve performance and achieve department goals.

• Develops and maintains policies pertaining to insurance, patient billing, cash posting and collection practices.

*

• Directs processing of accounts receivable, adjustments/refunds, cash deposits, and postings.

*

• Oversees all monthly processes, including completion of data entry, review and correction of edits, and reconciliation of claims transactions.

*

• Ensures systems and controls are in place as outlined in policy and procedure manuals.

• Manages, runs, creates and analyzes multiple data set reports

• Participates in the annual completion of the UDS and OSHPD reporting

*

• Assists CFO in completion of annual Medicare cost and Medi-Cal reconciliation reports.

*

• Provides reporting and documentation for internal and external auditors.

*

• Responsible for conducting and managing patient level collections
• Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS:

• Prior experience with an electronic medical record system required.
• Intermediate Excel; experienced with
• Thorough understanding of medical billing, collections and payment posting, revenue cycle, third party payers, Medicare; strong knowledge of California and Federal payer regulations.
• Working knowledge of CPT and ICD9 codes, HCFA 1500, UB04 claim forms, HIPAA, billing and insurance regulations, medical terminology, insurance benefits and appeal processes.
• Knowledge of business management and basic accounting principles to direct the billing and coding office.
• Sufficient knowledge of policies and procedures to accurately answer questions from internal and external customers.
• Possess excellent negotiation skills, including the tact required for securing payment or discussing patient’s finances, and enjoy working in a health care

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
