More about your role

You will provide financial support to the Places for People Group in the areas of corporate finance, funding and structuring and liaison with business areas, subsidiaries, external advisors, and other stakeholders including senior management.

Working as part of a growing team you will provide support to our Tax and Treasury Director. You will take the lead on structuring of transactions, including joint ventures and related funding and manage due diligence and coordinate the approval process for new transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and disposals across the Group.

Your work will be pivotal in our delivery of housing across the Group. You will also be involved in other finance projects across the Group by providing a commercial insight to assist the department and develop your expertise.

This is a hybrid role whereby you will carry part of your work from home and from our office at Preston Docklands.

More about you

You will be involved in core strategic and financial operations of a large business and many operational projects with multi-million-pound budgets. This role will build on your business acumen and commercial knowledge and enable you to work with advisory, banks, investors, solicitors, and other financial institutions in addition to tax and treasury experts. You will be qualified with a solid grounding in financial accounting, ideally having trained in an accountancy practice. You will be ambitious and proactive with your career, eager to take on challenges and progress but also take the time to fully understand and become an expert in your field.

You will have developed strong Excel skills and be able to analyse complex financial models with scenario analysis and many interdependencies. Knowledge of the housing market would be advantageous, as would a keen eye for detail when reviewing legal documentation. We would be happy to consider applicants currently working in practice as well as in industry.
