Your new role

• Reconcile works order variance on a daily basis
• Reconcile any variance from third party facilities on a daily basis
• Calculate product costings as required
• Maintain procedure for approval and recording the write-off of damaged stock and arrange for its destruction in accordance with company policy
• Preparation of weekly bank reconciliation
• Complete month end journals as required
• Preparation of month end general ledger account reconciliations as required
• Support Financial Accountant and Cost Accountant in monthly reporting process
• Assist the Cost Accountant with maintenance of the asset register
• Support Cost Accountant is completion of periodic fixed assets stocktake
• Support Cost Accountant with annual inventory budgeting process
• Support Cost Accountant with annual inventory cost update process, or periodically as required
• Contribute to requirements for the annual audit process
• Administration of the various container deposit schemes including preparation of periodic reporting

What you’ll need to succeed

• Qualifications in Accounting or substantial relevant experience
• Already studying towards being a Certified Public Accountant or interested in pursuing CPA or CA in the future
• Developed analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, interpersonal, negotiation
• Very high attention to detail
• Strong Excel skills
