Giftbit makes it easy to manage digital rewards and incentive programs. We offer a web application and API that allows businesses to customize, automate, and track rewards. Our core application has grown to process millions of dollars in annual gift card rewards volume and it’s ready for the next wave of investments in user experience, scalability, and automation.
This position as a Backend Software Developer places you as a critical member of the Giftbit team. You will do a bit of everything: build new features, upgrade old ones and help maintain daily operations. We love chasing our curiosity, developing strong stable systems, and learning from one another. There is always room for asking a good naive question. We believe our best work is done when balanced with a full life.
WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will define and execute work with broad ownership, from shaping to shipping— supported by collaboration with other team members.
Deploy tested, production ready code and infrastructure
Collaborate on feature investigation, definition, and prioritization
Participate in rotating on-call support for business operations with the rest of the development team
Review code, help with quality assurance and production release management
Write backend services primarily with Groovy/Grails and MySQL
Build and maintain application infrastructure in AWS
Iterate within an agile development cycle

Compensation – Intermediate: $90,000 to $120,000 / Senior: $130,000 to $170,000
