Duties and Responsibilities

UCL Institute of Ophthalmology conducts cutting-edge research, attracting principal investigators, post-doctoral fellows and MD/PhD students of the highest international calibre to a stimulating research environment.
The Senior Finance & Research Administrator role is a permanent position within the department’s Finance & Research Team and is responsible for delivering an efficient and effective professional service for finance and research administration at the Institute.
The role is open ended.


Key Requirements

Educated to degree level (or equivalent) or have significant experience in Higher Education or similar environment, the Senior Finance & Research Administrator should have substantial experience in pre- and post-award research grant administration, including knowledge of research funding processes in an academic environment. The postholder will have experience in financial accounting with the ability to prepare and co-ordinate accurate reports, budgets and recommendations.


Further Details

This position is a hybrid role category and will be expected to work onsite on an average of two days per week.
