The Senior School engages with and educates students across Years 7 to 12, including residential (boarding) students at our Kew location.

This position covers the leadership across Years 7 – VCE for teachers and staff across Digital and Design & Technologies including Computing, Algorithmics, Design and Engineering learning areas.

Selection Criteria

• Appropriate qualifications and experience for leading the Technologies and Innovation learning area across Years 7 – VCE, enabling reflective conversations that explore and practice contemporary approaches to to pedagogy, student learning, sourcing and sharing literature, research and experiences that will contribute to the ongoing development of capacity in effective teaching practice across the learning area
• A commitment to educating children in Catholic Faith and Identity in a Jesuit school
• Demonstrated ability to demonstrate and foster collaboration and effective teamwork with a co-leader leading to an aligned and cohesive approach
• With a teaching method in at least one of the following subject areas (Digital and Design & Technologies including Computing, Algorithmics, Design and Engineering) preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of, adherence to, and leadership for child safety, the Child Safe Standards and an exceptional culture of child safety
• Ability to contribute to a dynamic learning environment that values reflective practice, constructive feedback, data utilisation, collaboration and alignment, with attention to universal standards, expectations and effective performance, planning mechanisms and a coaching approach in a manner consistent with Ignatian values
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of current educational trends in pedagogy across years 7 – VCE
• Ability to develop, cultivate and maintain professional relationships with staff and in the wider school community.
