About the role

As Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be at the forefront of our HR department, providing a platinum recruitment service to the Organisation. This is a hands-on role where you will own and manage a complex portfolio of recruitment from request stage through to offer and onboarding.

As an experienced recruiter you will be responsible for providing strategic, pro-active support to Senior Management and stakeholders across the University of Derby campuses.

You will build innovative sourcing strategies led by data and market intelligence, lead a selection process that adopts D&I best practices, and partner closely with colleagues and key stakeholders throughout the hiring journey.

What you will need to succeed:

• Experience recruiting for a large and/or complex organisation with a variety of talent streams, either via search firm, RPO or in-house recruiting environment
• Experience with research/sourcing tools such as LinkedIn and other social media, or technical forums.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with employees, stakeholders, candidates, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to write engaging advert text and support development of recruitment marketing assets ( visual, written and video)

• HND in Business, Human Resources or a related field preferred, or proven professional recruitment experience

Experience

• Experience sourcing in a high-volume environment (via search firm or in-house recruiting environment)
• Experience with research/sourcing tools such as LinkedIn and other social media, or technical forums
• Experience of working closely with a HR team
• Recruited for a large and/or complex organisation with a variety of talent streams
• Attracting Talent from overseas talent pools
• Working to resourcing KPIs and SLA

Skills, knowledge and abilities

• Ability to contribute in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with the ability to prioritise multiple functions and tasks
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with employees, stakeholders, candidates, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation
• Produce and use resourcing data to provide business insights and shape strategy
• Ability to write engaging advert text
• Ability to produce recruitment marketing assets (visual, written, video)

Business requirements

• Willingness and flexibility to travel and work between university and external sites in a cost effective and timely manner, if required
• Willingness and flexibility to work outside standard working hours to meet the needs to the business for example during executive onsite interview days or at events, if required
