St Mary’s Anglican Church Hiring for Parish Administrator Job at Balmain Full Time

We are looking for a new Administrator for our growing church in the inner Sydney suburb of Balmain East. The role is ideal for a motivated, energetic Christian person who wants to play a vital role in a vibrant and growing church. The position is for 15 hours per week, and we are flexible with the hours and days of work.

St Mary’s is a relatively new provisional parish, and we are praying and trusting God for growth in the parish as we build connections with our local community and establish new ministries.

The Administrator will work alongside our minister, Matt Davies, and our parish council, and will also work in collaboration with team leaders and parishioners. The goal of the role is to support the mission and vision of St Mary’s by providing effective administration and support to staff and ministry activities.

The role covers a range of responsibilities, including:

• Administration – rostering, preparing worship materials, providing administrative support
• Property Management – liaising with suppliers, arranging repairs
• Finances – entering transaction in the accounting packaging, setting up bank transfers
• Bookings – receiving and processing church hiring requests
• Communications – Managing the database, uploading content, communicating with parishioners

The ideal candidate will be excited to support our mission, which is “the love of Christ – known, lived and shared”. He/she will have a demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team. The role is suited to someone who is tech-savvy, and who has experience with accounting software, databases, presentation software and social media/web publishing.
