Reporting to the HR Manager – Central Region, the Senior HR Advisor will support our business leaders and talented people in one of Cummins complex and busy regions.

*In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: *

• Support the HR strategy within the Central region

• Collaborate with business leaders in applying business and human resources functional knowledge to interpret the business environment, identify and prioritize current and future problems requiring solutions, and develop/implement initiatives to meet the business needs

• Communicate and consult on all areas of human resources including compensation, benefits, recruitment, organisational development, employee relations, and performance management

• Build constructive relationships with employees and other stakeholders

• Reinforce consistent application of Cummins standards and apply knowledge of employment and labour law, ensuring compliance to legislation and company policies and procedures

*To be successful in this role you will need the following: *

• Experience as a Senior HR Business Partner/Generalist or HR Manager

• A strong understanding of HR processes and employment law

• Experience in partnering with senior / executive business leaders

• Robust understanding of Enterprise Agreements and employee relations or willingness to learn

• Ideally with experience working in operational HR

• Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to deal with conflict situations in a rational and constructive manner

• Proven negotiating and advocacy skills

• Able to identify, analyse, formulate, and implement appropriate courses of action, advising managers appropriately

• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with a diverse stakeholder group

• An ability to network and engage people to achieve the objectives at hand

• Work in a faced paced environment where no two days are alike

• Travel to branch site locations to build relationships and provide fundamental support to your partners
