Bayview Family Practice Hiring for Medical Receptionist Full-time/Part-time at Toronto, ON Full Time

Bayview Family Practice is looking for a Medical Receptionist. We are a group of four physicians located in midtown Toronto, with easy TTC access and potential for parking. We are a Family Health Organization providing full-scope primary care, including obstetrics, pediatrics and care of the elderly. We are affiliated with Women’s College Hospital, Sunnybrook Hospital and the University of Toronto.
We are currently providing hybrid care with a focus on in-person visits; we are committed to keeping our staff safe through infection prevention and control.

We are seeking a tech-savvy, adaptable administrative professional for the role of Medical Receptionist. The ideal candidate will be a committed team player who enjoys being busy while helping others.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Front desk reception including managing and triaging telephone calls and emails
• Appointment booking and reminders
• Patient check-in
• Facilitating office flow and performing automated BP readings
• Assisting with consultation requests and requests for forms and documents
• Resolving patient complaints and escalating to management when appropriate
• Performing general office duties such as photocopying, faxing, scanning, and mailing
• Assisting with physician schedules

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience with EMR software (Indivicare/OSCAR) preferred
• Experience in a medical receptionist role (preferably 2 years)
• Experience working within a prenatal clinic/L&D would be an asset
• OHIP billing experience is an asset
• Self-motivated with an ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks including triaging phone calls
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Effective organizational and communication skills

Salary Range: annual salary minimum $20- 22/hour. Salary commensurate with experience
