Patience, compassion, and energy are all vital adult qualities in a successful pre-school classroom. You should be capable of inspiring, encouraging, and developing young children, each of whom will have different abilities, challenges, and personalities. The top candidates will also have a creative mindset and good administrative skills, in order to plan and execute lessons which are memorable, innovative, and achieve the desired learning outcomes.
The assistant position works four days a week (Tuesday-Friday) from 7:45am-11:45am.
Requirements:
Responsibilities and Duties:
Teach children core concepts, such as numbers, letters, shapes, and colors they are using
Using creative, hands-on learning methods, such as artistic expression, free play, and storytelling.
Planning a curriculum that addresses early childhood education requires are instilling.
Instilling a sense of respect and discipline so that children work effectively in a classroom setting.
Supervise children outside class, such as during lunch, out on the playground, or making trips.
Ensure the classroom is clean, safe, and well-organized, following all licensing and health inspections and set guidelines.
Setting up the materials and workspaces required for class activities.
They create the classroom by communicating with parents to learn more about each child’s life.
Creating reports to inform parents about their children’s progress at school.
Participate in staff development activities at the campus and state levels plus and state levels.
Requirements:
Past experience teaching children in the 3-5 age group.
Ability to educate with age-appropriate language and teaching methods.
Patience, optimism, compassion, enthusiasm, and empathy.
Mediation skills to resolve conflicts between children.
A creative mindset to plan innovative, exciting lessons.
Familiarity using current technology.
Ability to stand as a positive role model for impressionable minds.
Comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies.
Compile, maintain, and file reports, records, and other documents required.
Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
Ability to communicate with and oversee colleagues within the PreK program
Ability to communicate with various licensing and facilities manager
Perform other duties as assigned.

Computer, interactive whiteboards, document cameras, Chromebooks, and software necessary for administrative and educational tasks.
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Be able to meet the mental demands of teaching assignments (i.e., maintain emotional control under stress). Be able to meet the physical needs of the teaching assignment (i.e., frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing). Be able to maintain an environment conducive to teaching and learning (i.e., moving media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment).
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, policy and expectation documents, staff agreements, and evaluation rubric documents. Ability to speak effectively before groups of students, parents, staff, teachers, and school administrators.
