Group Finance Manager, Financial Reporting

The Finance team at Lendi Group comprises Financial Reporting, Financial Operations and Business Partnering professionals with a common mission to build the leading modern finance team.

What you will get to be part of

• Leading by example as a key member of the Finance leadership team
• Ownership of group wide month-end close process, conducting detailed P&L review across all our brands and delivery of P&L and BS reporting for the Group
• Management of a team of financial accountants to ensure delivery of reporting obligations
• Gatekeeper to our financial records by maintaining integrity and financial control of our general ledger including completion of all reconciliation processes
• Contribute to managing external relationships with auditors and tax advisers
• Partnering our financial operations and business partnering teams to support stakeholders as a cohesive finance function
• Identify opportunities focused on process improvement, leveraging technology to improve reporting.
• Role model best practice in risk culture in all our processes

Our ideal candidate profile

• Proven ability to lead and manage a team with varying experience levels. Able to effectively mentor and coach staff
• Experienced with statutory reporting and direct and indirect tax compliance for various lodgements (FBT, BAS, ITR)
• Analytical, with a strong eye for detail and a high level of financial acumen to achieve accurate and timely reporting of group results
• Tech savvy and hands on to deliver continuous improvements in our finance tech stack
• A collaborative working style to partner business stakeholders, cross-functional finance colleagues and management
• Effective time management, ability to meet deadlines and operate under time pressure in a dynamic environment
• Commitment to deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers

Experience that will help you succeed in the role

• Previous background as a finance manager with direct reports, financial or statutory reporting role
• Accounting degree with CPA or CA with minimum 5 years post qualified experienced
• Sound working knowledge of AASB requirements and an understanding of revenue recognition
• Proficient in Excel modelling skills and high attention to detail
• Financial Services experience preferred with industry experience in mortgage broking advantageous
• Experience in the end to end-to-end leadership of risk management in complex corporate environments
