Portage Canal Ventures, LLC Hiring for Carpenter at Calumet, Michigan Full Time

We need help with outside maintenance before the snow flies again! Here’s an opportunity to live and work on beautiful Lake Superior in Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula. Home to epic mountain biking trails, the best downhill skiing in the Midwest, not to mention endless kayaking and hiking options. Our business started with affordable housing in Hancock, MI and we are now working on our first lake-side vacation rental. We have an incredible spot to park a van, camper or tent, right on Lake Superior with almost a mile of undeveloped beach, so we hope to find someone looking for work between summer and winter seasons. We will also supply a gym membership. If you are a good fit for this area and the job, we’d ideally like to find someone to hire full time.

There are currently 8 long-term rentals in need of outside maintenance; painting trim, replacing door jambs, windows, yard maintenance, etc. Additionally, we are about 50% done with a full remodel and could use a second set of hands in getting that project closer to completion; in-floor heat, flooring, doors, tile, just to name a few projects.
