What will your essential responsibilities include?

• You’ll be accountable for translating the business unit’s strategy into an actionable, innovative, effective and efficient talent strategy and operational plan. You’ll work with the HR and Business teams to build and develop internal talent, including building a culture of continuous learning.
• You’ll drive talent management and leadership development strategies, tools and processes in the disciplines of performance management, succession planning, talent assessment, coaching, development planning, and competency identification for the business unit. You’ll work with the data team to define robust mechanisms for regular reporting of management information / data relating to talent, culture, inclusion and diversity actions and progress for the Boards.

Talent:

• You’ll collaborate with AXA XL’s Global Talent Team to implement and drive global HR talent management, Employee Engagement, Inclusion and Diversity and Change Management strategies and policies that support our culture and ensure compliance across the UK. You’ll also build and maintain relationships with appropriate talent partners and inclusion and diversity professionals across other AXA business groups and the external market, sharing best/next practices and leveraging expertise and programmes.
• You’ll own the annual talent and performance cycle in the UK, working in close collaboration with Global Talent Management and Reward teams to upskill compensation managers and ensure process runs smoothly.

Culture and engagement:

• You’ll design and drive the agreed culture and engagement strategy and supporting action plan to drive a more intentional culture across our business, identifying priority areas and phases of work. You’ll continually review strategic plans to ensure alignment with business priorities.
• You’ll oversee the delivery of initiatives that reinforce the AXA XL culture and purpose, embedding our values and commitments into the organization, enhancing leader capability to support/drive culture and engagement; and using our colleague engagement surveys to gain insights and drive action.

Inclusion and Diversity:

• You’ll be accountable for embedding inclusion and diversity into our DNA; supporting leaders, HR partners and Business Resource Groups in ensuring inclusive behaviours and diversity are integrated into all areas of our business and talent strategy and operational plans.
• You’ll work closely with the Global Inclusion and Diversity team on alignment in relation to the UK Inclusion and Diversity strategy and own the execution and reporting of the UK operational plan.
• You’ll be responsible for the effective operation and reporting of the UK Inclusion and Diversity Board and Steering Committee.
• You’ll partner with the Talent Acquisition team to develop strong diverse talent sourcing strategies and pipelines. You’ll project manage the execution of initiatives designed to attract, retain, develop and grow a diverse talent community, foster an inclusive culture and eliminate barriers to success.

Learning and Development:

• You’ll maintain advisory/consultative relationships with key stakeholders in the Business Unit and drive business-related people initiatives, including the facilitation of organisational development interventions, team effectiveness workshops, new leader assimilations, and other activities related to talent development.
• You’ll be accountable for driving the delivery of Learning and Development initiatives in partnership with the global Learning and Development/Academies teams, ensuring they are aligned with the enterprise-wide L&D strategy while meeting the needs of the BU.
• You’ll ensure a range of training methods are identified, assessed and delivered to ensure the most impactful and cost effective solutions are implemented.
• You’ll be responsible for the successful roll out of Insights Discovery across the UK with a focus on increasing individual, team and business effectiveness.
