Tayco Hiring for Saw HPS Consolidator at Etobicoke, ON Full Time

THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Saw HPS Consolidator is responsible for working alongside the Machine Operator to ensure the machine runs smoothly, for collecting finished material, sorting, and consolidating orders to ensure we are manufacturing wood products in a thorough and timely manner. They are required to ensure quality standards of products while adhering to Health & Safety and Tayco policies on a consistent basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Recommended exposure to a manufacturing environment.
• Is able to operate hand tools (drills, saw, pneumatic guns, etc.). Will be required to cross train in the Cabinetry Department.
• Is able to understand, speak, read and write English. Must be able to understand verbal and written work instructions, which are typically routine, as accuracy and attention to detail is necessary. In addition, must be able to speak, read and understand health and safety procedures, document work, train others, problem solve in teams, learn new work processes and participate in continuous learning and weekly team meetings
• Is able to work independently or as a part of a team.
• Complies with all company health and safety policies and procedures at all times. Wears Personal Protective Equipment at all times in accordance with Tayco’s policies.
• Maintain a safe work environment and good housekeeping as per Health and Safety Standards.
• Is able to lift materials up to 50 pounds and to carry, move, manipulate and/or position them and to move, bend, twist or maintaining awkward body positions while performing work.

Benefits

• Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. OR 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
• Pay Rate: $19.01 per hour +$1.25/hour shift premium for Afternoon Shift (when working 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.)
