Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin’s attractions and brands on a global scale, we are looking for a Finance Analyst – Technology on a full-time basis located at either our Technical Hub in Thorpe Park or Poole HQ.

About the Role…

Reporting into the Senior Finance Business Partner – Corporate, you will support the Finance Business Partner (Technology, Projects & Capital) in partnering with the technology function to deliver against OPEX budgets, manage project costs, productivity and departmental recoveries.

You will be the liaison between Senior Finance Business Partner and Finance Hub, responsible for ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial reporting and financial administrative tasks. Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the Management Accounts and Project reports are complete, accurate and timely, identifying and aiding in resolving Project & P&L queries, liaising with Finance Hub, SFBP / FBP and budget owners.
• Acting as a Change Champion, you will improve purchase order adoption and ensure consistency and quality of purchase ordering.
• Aiding the Finance Business Partners to ensure accuracy of the Fixed Assets Register and projects AICOC balances. Supporting SFBP in preparation of Internal/External Audits for the relevant sites.
• Supporting the (Senior) Finance Business Partners to set up the monthly Capex report and complete all administration associated with completion of report in timely manner.
• Tracking monthly Capex spend by project – providing reports to the support the (senior) FBP.

About You…

• Finalist or Part Qualified Accountant
• Solid accounting experience gained working in a fast paced finance team
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong Excel skills
• Capable of working autonomously
