The Opportunity
As a member of the facility’s FSQA team, the FSQA PM Coordinator monitors and analyzes data related to all Food Safety, GMP, HACCP and other Quality Assurance Program requirements to ensure they are consistently achieved. The Coordinator is responsible for reviewing escalated proposed corrective actions and providing additional guidance and support as required working with Production Supervisors. While operating in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, the Coordinator must be comfortable analyzing large amounts of data and making recommendations to FSQA leadership based on findings.
A snapshot of some of the exciting things you will lead and do:
Lead cross functional teams completing incident investigations where food safety or food quality may be compromised.
Maintain, update and ensure consistent execution of QA programs to align with internal and external requirements.
Assist with HACCP and MLF Food Safety and Quality program updates, maintenance and verifications.
Ability to interact and communicate with CFIA Inspectors for completion of tasks and plant inspections.
Investigate and draft responses for customer and consumer complaints.
Support and/or deliver FSQA training.
Take lead on execution of various initiatives to improve the quality and safety of our products.
Assist with analysis of data to determine root cause of deficiencies and provide feedback on performance and necessary improvements.
Participate in cross functional SOP development and ensure that facility SOPs and related documents are in correct format, properly stored and distributed as per manufacturing excellence requirements.
Conducting monthly GMP, internal and external audits with cross-functional team and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Assist with third party audits (CFIA, CVS, HACCP, BRC, FSQMS or customer) and prepare/coach cross functional managers before and during these audits.
Support activities related to processes, programs and/or systems.
Support FSQA team as required (back-up for various roles, etc).
Other duties as required.

What you will bring:
University degree or college diploma preferably in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science or a related discipline.
2-3 years food related experience in areas of GMP and HACCP principles and programs.
Proven ability to lead and coach.
Superior communication skills.
Detail oriented with strong organizational and presentation skills.
Strong systems skills (including MS Office).
Demonstrated alignment to the Maple Leaf Leadership Values.
