Overview
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.
Job Responsibilities

• Perform multi-site full-cycle recruitment of non-exempt and entry-level roles;
• Identify opportunities with technical schools, placement agencies, military, etc. to build programs to supply talent;
• Manage the interview process with candidates and hiring managers in accordance with company guidelines and present job offers to candidates;
• Source, identify and qualify candidates via phone screens and in-person interviews;
• Develop a strategy to increase talent pool;
• Maintain a pipeline of candidates for commonly filled positions;
• Represent company at various career fairs;
• Develop and administer communication plans to attract active and passive candidates;
• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Harlan’s HRIS talent management solution;
• Manage the corporate third-party career portal(s) that are integrated with the talent management portal;
• Assist with the on-boarding process for new hires;
• Perform other required tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required;
• Five years of human resources, talent acquisition and interviewing within a manufacturing environment preferred;
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR certification preferred;
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus;
• Strong understanding of staffing principles, laws, and procedures and a solid working knowledge of recruitment/employment programs;
• Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative;
• Demonstrated knowledge of various recruiting techniques, and experience in online/social media recruiting;
• Team player who genuinely enjoys working helping entry-level and skilled labor talent connect with job opportunities;
• Proven ability to communicate and effectively “sell” an organization’s value proposition;
• Must possess excellent oral/written communication, marketing, presentation, interviewing and interpersonal skills;
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), internet, and working knowledge of Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG Ready) HRIS and talent management portal;
• Superior interpersonal abilities, including the ability to collaborate with diverse personalities, while being tactful, mature and flexible;
• Self-starter with excellent time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills;
• Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, trustworthiness and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality;
• Creative in brainstorming and proposing new ideas and solutions to existing problems.
