Wellington Professional Recruitment Looking for Senior Structural Engineer – Design Consultancy at Belfast, County Antrim Full Time

Are you a Chartered (or approaching) Structural Engineer looking to progress your career and work on some of the most iconic projects in Northern Ireland? Our client is seeking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer to join their busy Structural Engineering team in Belfast due to contract awards and an already busy work schedule.

PURPOSE OF JOB:

To act as Structural Lead on a wide range of projects with our Architectural and Civil design teams in liaising with our clients and other design team members, managing/undertaking the preparation of drawings, calculations, programmes, specifications, reports and other project related deliverables.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a member of the Structural Engineering Team we would want you to lead/undertake the following duties:

• Manage a team in preparing conceptual, schematic and detailed design solutions for various elements of Structural engineering work using CAD/Revit software.
• Liaising directly with clients in development of solutions
• Liaising and co-ordinating with other design team members, both in house, other offices and/or external consultants.
• Attending design team meetings and client liaison meetings as appropriate
• Managing the preparation of drawing lists, programmes, specifications and progress reports
• Production of detailed design calculations
• Co-operating with site supervisory resources
• Any other relevant engineering duties as may be required from time to time and as determined by local Office

KEY ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE:

• Applicants must have a Degree in a related discipline such as Structural or Civil Engineering.
• 10 years’ experience in a similar Structural Design role.
• Design office experience.
• Chartered or approaching chartership.
• Be able to work effectively under pressure, to deadlines and as part of a team.
