The company is currently recruiting a capable hands-on finance leader with a wealth of experience in an SME to run its finance function reporting to the Managing Director.
The company has experienced significant growth and is expecting further organic growth to continue as it expands its product offerings.
This role demands significant commitment along with great people skills and an ability to communicate across the business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the accounting function across the business as well as providing oversight through budgetary and cash flow management. In addition, you will work with the MD to provide insight to issues that impact business performance and prepare the relevant reports and commentary for the board.

• Manage the finances of the business in alignment with the strategic direction
• Establish core financial processes and reporting requirements
• Define and manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets
• Oversee the preparation of all financial reporting
• Provide leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team
• Provide strategic recommendations to the Managing Director and members of the executive management team as the lead financial expert within the business
• Advise on long-term business and strategic financial planning
• Establish and develop positive working relationships external partners and stakeholders
• Maintain all formal finance related policies and procedures to ensure relevancy, compliance and effective management of financial affairs
• Advise on financial regulation, accounting, and governance and capital structure matters

Other skills and essential personal attributes include:

• The ability to work effectively and autonomously with a high level of responsibility
• Good organising ability, enabling monthly deadlines/statutory filing dates etc. to be met
• Well-developed verbal & written communication skills
• Strong analytical capability and costing experience
