POSITION TITLE: Corporate Accountant

CREATED: JULY 2022

REPORTS TO: CFO

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

POSITION DESCRIPTION POSITION PURPOSE
The Corporate Accountant is responsible for company billing and preparing monthly financial statements. The Corporate Accountant collaborates with the CFO and Shareholders to review, assess, and provide input on organizational directives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Corporate Accountant is responsible for the following key areas:

• Financial Statements
• Corporate Billing
• Budgeting Support
• Vendor / Supplier Management
• Outside Professionals Support

Financial Statements

• Issue monthly financial statements to shareholders
• Issue financial summary reports to the Board of Directors
• Prepare monthly journal entries for accrual basis accounting

Including but not limited to Depreciation, Prepaid Expenses and payroll Accruals

• Review supporting schedules and prepare entries as needed

Including but not limited to Lease payments , Fixed assets, A/R & A/P and Bank reconciliations

• Review GL and reclass transactions when necessary
• Monitor cash flows and prepare cash flow reports
• Work with outside CPA Firms as required
• Prepare reporting for State Licensing
• Prepare schedules for Insurance Applications

Corporate Billing

• Prepare monthly billing calculations and create invoices
• Prepare invoices for client reimbursements
• Review corporate credit cards and other purchases to review for client reimbursements
• Review invoices from vendors and invoice clients for reimbursed programming costs.
• Review time allocated to special projects and prepare invoices for special projects
• Track client agreements and implement a schedule for client increases

Budgeting Support

• Maintain budgets and provide monthly budget to actual reports
• Work with HR to provide department managers information regarding payroll and overtime budget

Vendor and Supplier Management

• Oversee purchasing and approvals for non-IT related purchases
• Work with CIO for IT related purchases
• Manage supplier relationships
• Ongoing review of vendors for cost savings

Outside Professionals Support

• Provide schedules and other requested documents to outside CPA’s and Auditors

OTHER FUNCTIONS

• Assist in other areas as needed, such as general office support
• Provide executive support to shareholders
• Backup to HR Manager for payroll
• Special projects as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Minimum of five years’ experience in accounting
• Corporate Tax Filing experience
