We are seeking experienced developers to assist with the implementation of web-based eCommerce systems utilising full-stack JavaScript solutions, progressive technologies, and serverless architectures. To succeed in this role you will be reliable, team-oriented, self-motivated, have excellent time management skills, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. You will be passionate about web development and have an interest in Open Source Software. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are essential.

This is a full-time remote role and open to anyone in Australia who wants to join a growing team of talented individuals building tomorrow’s eCommerce applications. Applicants in Melbourne also have the option of working in a hybrid WFH model if preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Work on new website projects, from initial discovery and planning phases through implementation and deployment.
• Maintain and enhance existing websites while adhering to software engineering best practices.
• Communicate with clients and manage ongoing projects and maintenance requests.
• Configure and maintain large-scale websites running on cloud environments.
• Work with internal or external designers to implement provided designs.
• Lead improvements in the software development process and coordinate efforts with co-workers.

You will need to BYO workstation, which should be suitable for modern JavaScript development (reasonable CPU, RAM, and disk space) and able to run the required software (NodeJS, git, etc). Running Linux is a bonus, but not required.

Experience with all of the following technologies is a requirement:

• JavaScript, NodeJS
• SQL databases
• HTML, CSS
• git version control software

Familiarity with any of the following technologies is desirable:

• TypeScript
• JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as Vue or React
• Docker, Kubernetes, or other container environments
• Cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
• PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB
• VS Code, WebStorm, Eclipse, or other IDE
