We are the O365 Substrate Productivity Intelligence team, and we are building a platform that empowers developers and data scientists to build a new breed of intelligent applications while upholding O365 data privacy and compliance standards.

We build simple and innovative solutions to address large scale and challenging data problems and have a significant business impact on products that ship across the entire office organization. We understand data requirements, build scalable data processing pipelines to serve the very large scale data, and publish these comprehensive data signals through a well-organized intuitive data API for data consumers and produce these data offerings with service-like guarantees. The platform enables machine learning solutions over O365 substrate data.

Responsibilities

We seek a smart, passionate and self-driven experienced engineer to work on cutting edge technology to forge the path ahead for big data sets, run data pipelines with 24x7x365 service availability and tight SLA and build comprehensive and intuitive end-end solutions to delight our customers.

Develop large-scale and high-quality data and experimentation services with easy-to-use APIs

Focus on automating and enabling self-serve capabilities in the platform to empower other teams to build such highly efficient and reliable datasets

Work closely with our cross-geo teams to remove blockers and drive for comprehensive end-end solution delivery

Develop data system improvements and educate customers on optimal use of our systems for their scenarios

Work with multiple data infrastructure systems such as: Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, AML, etc. to leverage them to design and develop our data foundation.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience coding in Python, C#, C++, Java or other programming languages

Experience in designing, developing, and shipping software (Minimum: 2 years)

Excellent programming and algorithm design skills

Passion for data driven decision making

Bachelor’s degree in CS, EE or equivalent
