Founded in 2021, Axcel’s mission is to elevate the modern workforce by delivering high-quality professional training. Thus far, the company has acquired Interskill Learning, Michael Management Corporation, and Web Age Solutions. Going forward, we plan to buy and grow additional training companies and leverage our capabilities in tech enablement, distribution, and sales & marketing to build a family of brands that is more valuable than the sum of its parts.
Axcel is backed by Alpine Investors, a people-driven private equity firm committed to building enduring companies by working with, learning from, and developing exceptional people. Alpine specializes in investments in companies in the consumer, software and services industries and is currently investing out of its 8th fund.
Opportunity
Axcel has recently acquired a flagship asset in the professional education space and is seeking a high-quality operator who wants to be an integral part of a humble, exceptional team. We are looking for a dynamic, analytical, self-motivated individual who is excited about a high-growth environment and has the ability to empower others. This leader will step in and grow this business organically and evaluate inorganic growth (M&A) opportunities.
This role provides a unique opportunity for meaningful responsibility on day one. The CEO will benefit from mentorship from the Axcel team and Alpine Investor’s PeopleFirst Leadership Program which offers the support of an experienced facilitator and coach.
What You’ll Do
Develop and implement scalable and efficient strategies to ensure consistent results and growth the business 15% YoY
Oversee the day-to-day operation of the company
Be a true player/coach who is equally comfortable guiding and mentoring others as well as rolling up sleeves and diving in
Maintain a positive and continuously developing culture while leading the charge towards growth
Clear roadblocks, mediating disputes, and celebrate successes
What You’ll Bring
MBA from top school preferred
2+ years in an operation management role
Demonstrated leadership skills
Knowledge of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management, and general finance and budgeting
Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, finance, etc.
An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to communicate at all levels; even better listening skills
A self-reliant, adaptable, and a “figure it out” mentality
Strategic growth mindset and strong business acumen
Enthusiastic, personable, positive attitude, and high integrity
Ability to inspire confidence and create trust
