Position Summary:

Reporting to the Operations Finance Manager, the person in this role will be responsible for providing in-depth analysis and making recommendations for an assigned business unit. The Supply Chain Accountant will conduct quantitative analysis to assess opportunities, including probability modeling, and will partner with key stakeholders to communicate results to help the teams make informed business decisions.

Job Duties:

• Support the financial reporting, analysis, and strategic initiatives of Supply Chain
• Primary responsibility for fixed assets management and accounting, including fixed asset additions/disposals, depreciation calculations, and sub-ledger and Tagetik reconciliations

• Capital project management and reporting, including coordination of monthly review meetings with project owners and senior management

• Lease accounting to include monthly journal entries, maintenance of records, reporting, and analysis
• Actively participate in various other financial related roles including but not limited to capital planning, strategic planning and budgeting, general accounting, and ad hoc reporting and analysis for senior and executive management

• Must work collaboratively with all areas and levels of the company to achieve desired results
• Liaison between Supply Chain and Finance in order to ensure accurate costing
• Identify areas of improvement for Supply Chain efficiency and data reporting accuracy
• Monthly review of Logistics and Operations budget to actual variance report and prepare any materials need for financial reviews related to Supply Chain

• Prepare Logistics/Warehouse/Freight accruals, allocations/clearing entries, and financial reports
• Provide full support for Supply Chain budgeting process, including development of the annual operating plan and validation of results

• Support the G/L close process, as well as monthly reporting and analysis needs
• Balance sheet reconciliations, control, and related analysis
• Assist in the development of the annual operating plan
• Personal property/ real estate taxation and assist with statutory requirements
• All other analysis and reporting required by the management team
• Positive change agent for accounting department and MZB

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required, MBA or CMA a plus
• 2 – 4 years’ experience in financial analysis, preferably with a consumer products company
• Experience with product costing in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and process management skills
• Extensive knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Superior communication skills
• Experience with ERP software – Oracle/E1

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
