We are looking for an authentic and astute Accounts Payable Assistant with a passion for Cath Kidston.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You’ll report into the Accounts Payable Manager and will be responsible for:

• Accurate processing of supplier invoices/credit notes and employee expenses through cin7 and Xero, ensuring that all supplier invoices/credit notes and employee expenses are processed on a timely basis, with receipts recorded and payments made in accordance with payment terms.
• Support with reporting of weekly cashflow transactions in cashflow file and daily cashflow planning file to ensure Finance team are managing cashflow robustly

This role is 40 hours per week, Full time, working remotely.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Opening post and monitoring personal and Accounts Payable mailbox for invoices, statements and supplier queries, ensuring invoices are coded and processed on Xero and statements received reconciled on a daily basis
• Updating supplier master spreadsheet to ensure up to date with latest supplier information at all times, and procedures for setting up new suppliers are adhered to by the wider business
• Support business with managing IR35 procedures to ensure compliance
• Chasing approvers for outstanding PO’s invoices
• Involvement in Weekly payment runs – Suppliers/Expenses, multiple currencies including USD, Euro, GBP. Working with Santander online banking
• Weekly filing of all the paperwork produced in the department.
• Ensuring Aged Creditors Report is reviewed and any balances overdue days explained and dealt with on scheduled meetings.
• Month end Supplier Statement Reconciliations
• Adhoc tasks as and when required

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have previous experience of working in Accounts Payable Team, with a strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes and controls
• Ability to code invoices accurately and on a timely basis. Processing a high volume of invoices on a weekly basis.
• Being attentive to detail and understand chart of accounts coding structures
• Good understanding of UK VAT and what is recoverable/non recoverable, and ability to know how to handle multi-currency invoices.
• Have excellent time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, especially with suppliers and queries
• Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge mainly working with Excel (Vlookups, Pivot tables, working with big spreadsheets, etc.), and more than one Accounting software.
• Proactive and can-do attitude. Friendly and enjoying working as part of a team.
• Relevant experience related to accounts, book-keeping, and other office works is helpful
