Mission of your Role

The mission of the Software QA tester will be to plan, execute, and report on all testing aspects of Vorum software products in order to meet or exceed overall quality requirements and customer expectations.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Be part of the team performing testing and validation of our software to ensure the quality of our delivered products meets or exceeds our customers’ expectations and in turn aids in the efficient delivery of high quality patient outcomes.
• Participate in review of requirements and designs to create and maintain test scenarios, test plans, and test cases.
• Verify proper implementation of features against design documentation
• Testing software products for bugs and other defects on desktop and web platforms.
• Document reported bugs in the issue tracking system with clarity and detail to ensure ease of reproducibility.
• Performance of regression testing with a strong attention to detail to ensure ongoing correctness of operation.
• Provide written and verbal reports on the state of bugs, features, performance, and usability.
• Development of automated tests to supplement the manual test cases

Your Qualifications

• 2+ years testing on desktop and web applications.
• Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle including familiarity with agile, hybrid and waterfall workflows.
• Strong understanding of Windows operating systems as well as web and desktop application software.
• Thorough knowledge of QA techniques and practices with demonstrated track record of keeping current.
• Must have strong English verbal, written, and listening skills.
• Effective at cross team communication and collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with varying importance and urgency levels.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to work under moderate supervision.
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and embraces a growth mindset.
• Proficiency tracking defects using Jira.

Bonus Qualifications

• Fluency in foreign languages. We have customers around the world in over 35 countries, so this is an asset.
• Degree or Diploma Certificate in Computer Science or a related technical field is an asset.
• Experience in scripting languages and automation test development is an asset.
• Competency in usage of Git, Subversion, TestRail, and Office 365 is an asset.

• Experience within the Orthotics and Prosthetics field is an asset.
