NFI Hiring for Carfair – Maintenance Technician at Winnipeg, MB Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY:
As a member of the Manufacturing Engineering Team, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Maintains the inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.

Responsible for maintaining and repairing maintenance shop equipment.

Maintain maintenance records on all equipment, vehicles and maintenance log.

Makes recommendations for improving plant operations and efficiency.

Communicates directly with supervisors and operations departments to coordinate maintenance and repair work in their departments.

Installs, inspects, maintains and repairs new/existing machinery, equipment, and systems.

Cleans and lubricates parts for equipment and machinery

Able to perform plumbing, mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs.

Complete routine maintenance and repairs on Air-Makeup and exhaust equipment.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Minimum three (3) years previous work experience in a manufacturing management environment would be preferred.

Experienced in operating and repairing a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, lawn mowers and small hand tools

Solid verbal and written communication skills.

Strong computer skills, with focus on MS Office (Word/Excel).

Ability to organize and prioritize workload.

Able to work in dusty, humid, and noisy environments

Physically capable of lifting to 25 lbs on a regular basis, working at heights, bending, and walking for long periods of time.
