The Opportunity

As this small, but high-profile legal practice enters their second decade of operation they are looking to appoint someone into the newly created role of Finance Officer. With a continued appetite for expansion, the firm requires a capable finance professional to support the existing team as they continue to grow.

• $65,000- $70,000 + Superannuation;

The Role

As a key support to the practice you will be responsible for supporting the Financial Controller with a focus on accounts payable and accounts receivable. Tasks will include:

• Accurate entry and end to end processing of invoices;

• Supplier reconciliations;

• Managing supplier queries;

• Manage staff expenses;

• Bank Reconciliations;

• Raising of invoices;

• Allocations and receipting; and

• Ad hoc support.

Your Background

To be considered for this role you will:

• Possess a bachelor’s degree covering accounting & finance and potentially be studying towards your CPA;

• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills;

• Demonstrate previous experience in a similar legal or professional services environment;

• Have exception time management skills and be confident in meeting strict deadlines time and time again;

• Consider yourself ‘Systems Savvy’ and ideally be familiar with a practice management / industry accounting system such as Elite, LexisNexis, Affinity etc; and

• You should also come with a down to earth, approachable personality and enjoy working with all levels of an organisation, top to bottom.
