True Colors Childcare Hiring for Lead Early Childhood Education Teacher Job at Eliot, ME Full Time

This is an exciting, 40 hours/week opportunity for a qualified candidate who is passionate about early childhood education. This person will be an important addition to our full time team of 3 as we develop our new business and prepare to move into our brand new childcare space. After moving, we will be licensed for 12 children, ages 6 weeks-6 years old in a mixed-age group. Currently we are licensed for 10 children.

Responsibilities include:

*Assisting owners with the design, organization and development of our new childcare space!

*Supervision and education of children ages 6 weeks- 6 years.

*Assisting in keeping a safe and healthy environment for all children.

*Development and implementation of age-appropriate curriculum.

*Modification of curriculum and routines to meet needs of individual children.

*Maintenance of daily communication with families, and amongst our team.

*Supporting children’s social and emotional needs throughout each day.

*Assisting with meal prep, toileting, and/or potty training.

True Colors is a small, licensed family childcare business. Our philosophy is to adapt our program to meet children’s individual and unique needs, we build our curriculum around their interests, and integrate Occupational Therapy inspired approaches to learning and classroom management. We believe all children belong, have a right to feel content and safe, and should be having fun and exploring their world while in our care.

As part of the hiring process, candidates will be expected to complete the necessary trainings that are required by True Colors Childcare, as well as the State of Maine, which are not limited to and include becoming certified in infant, child, and adult CPR and First Aid, and completing a Maine Childcare Licensing background check via fingerprinting in Sanford ME. Pay: $34,000.00 – $38,000.00 per year
