Educative Hiring for Senior Accountant Job at Bellevue, WA Full Time

This is a hybrid role, 3X/wk in-office.
Educative is looking for a Senior Accountant to lay the foundation for our next phase of growth. You will partner with various teams to develop, implement, maintain, and continually improve the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting and our compliance with accounting standards and tax obligations.

You will work closely with the Head of Finance and COO.

About the role:

Manage US financial reporting: * Assist with all GAAP reporting including management of the general ledger and ownership of all journal entries

• Oversee core accounting functions including accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls, and checks
• Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for management
• Proactively evaluate accounting processes and systems, along with identifying and implementing process improvements
• Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of the Company’s system of internal controls
• Track and analyze new rules and regulations related to financial reporting

Manage accounting systems: * Support implementation of ERP to replace Quickbooks

• Support implementation of global payroll system to replace current tools

Ensure tax compliance: * Manage annual corporate income and franchise tax returns, payroll, gross receipts, sales & use tax and other business tax returns and informational filings globally

• Responsible for reporting and compliance of business taxes: Sales/Use Tax, B&O, Property Tax, etc.

About you:

• 3 – 5 years of relevant experience, CPA a plus
• SaaS industry experience (Preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and adhere to tight deadlines
• Strong/Advanced MS Excel skills
• Attention to detail and proactive approach
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal

Please note that we are a fixed hybrid office – 3 days in the office (M, T, Th) and 2 days remote.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $116,000.00 per year
