You will assist with both the management of the overall HR Operations (Onshore – UK) and have the capability to deliver our strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy.
Support and coach the management team on all people leadership matters, including business change and transformation. Forming strong relationships with the management team to be able to challenge and coach in a high -performance environment.
Be responsible for all HR management and development (including recruitment and selection policy/practices, discipline, grievance, mentoring, salary and conditions, contracts, training and development, talent management, succession planning, driving performance appraisals and any other HR related issues).
Lead the work to regularly review the company’s talent management processes within the business areas, including performance/potential management, resource planning and succession planning.
Liaise with our HR legal representatives Peninsula for matters that require reporting to them or informing them of a new development within the organisation.
Provide insight and recommendations on all HR initiatives.
Conducting Probation Performance review for permanent employees
Facilitating/Conducting Annual performance reviews
Completing right to work checks for employees
Organising Employee data and saving data within GDPR guidelines
Working with senior managers and Head of Recruitment to cover any significant gaps to meet long-term objectives and create a long-term workforce plan that prioritises people-related initiatives.
Monitor, measure and report on HR issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales.
Responsibility for reporting, monitoring measurement, nonconformity and corrective action with regards to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001
Skills and Qualifications:
Degree/HND educated with a CIPD qualification preferably
Over 5 years experience working as an HR Manager
Proven track record as a HR generalist, preferably in a senior role.
An ability to maintain confidentiality and act with complete discretion and diplomacy coupled with strong Interpersonal relationship skills and an impartial and fair resolve.
Exceptional organisational and communication skills is required together with proven leadership capabilities and solid knowledge of employment legislation and its application.
Ability to work with Microsoft 365 suite – MS word/PPT/Excel/Teams etc
Experience of report writing utilising excel, word and Powerpoint
Ability to communicate at all levels
Experience of using HR Information Systems (People HR preferred)
Problem solving skills, Recruitment and Selection experience
Experience of designing and writing HR policies, procedures, offers and contracts of employment
Knowledge of payroll and payroll procedures
Adaptability and flexibility – willing to work on a variety of projects and perform in multiple roles.
Teamwork- Ability to build and develop relationships with internal employees, strategic partners and other external parties/organisations; able to resolve conflict.
Personal Drive- Will be able to demonstrate being self -directed, resourceful and creative; Able to manage own time and work autonomously with drive and enthusiasm.
Communication- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
Planning and Organising- Demonstrable experience of managing tasks and deadlines with the ability to resolve conflicting priorities
