Birch Agency is seeking a full time Educational Specialist, Resource Specialist job for the upcoming school year in the San Rafael, CA area. We are seeking a dynamic, equity focused, and inclusive classroom teacher to join our team The Educational Specialist will have a mild/mod or mod/severe credential to meet the qualifications for the job.

Primary function:

Under the direct supervision of the site principal, the Resource Specialist provides direct instructional services to students, consultation services to regular program teachers, and works with other professionals in developing cooperative programs to assist students.

Duties include:

• Provides additional instruction or services for identified individuals with exceptional needs assigned to general education classroom teachers for the majoirty of the school day.
• Serves as a case manager and assumes responsiblity for contacting and consulting with parents or guardians about any program changes
• Provides Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions to individuals or groups being considered for special education through the RTI process

Requirements:

Valid California Educational Specialist Mild/Mod or Mod/Severe credential

Autism Authorization

English Learner Authorization
