Personal Group Hiring for Talent Development Advisor Job at Milton Keynes, England Full Time

A new opportunity has arisen for a Talent Development Advisor to join our growing Commercial department.

Main Objective:

Working with the Head of Talent to understand the wider strategy for Learning & Development and plan for delivery. Building the frameworks, tools and learning pathways/opportunities to provide an inclusive, scalable, and future focused L&D provision.

Be the subject matter expert in Learning & Development, working with People Operations and other key stakeholders to understand business needs and provide advice, coaching and other learning solutions.

Ensure a continuous improvement approach to identify, suggest, and implement changes within the Talent development processes.

Knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications required in the role

Knowledge

• A broad, generalist understanding of L&D processes and activities including development planning; requirements gathering; coaching and mentoring; supplier and budget management and internal training delivery.

Experience

• Experience in a Learning and Development role involving planning and delivering via a wide range of learning styles, such as e-learning, blended and group learning.

• Demonstrable success with pro-active stakeholder management at varying levels

• Using coaching skills, facilitation, and consultative techniques for effective, collaborative delivery.

• Experience in measuring ROI of training initiatives and demonstrate return to key stakeholders.

• Previous experience of managing content on L&D systems/LMS such as LinkedIn Learning platform or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities and accountabilities in the role

L&D/Talent

• Work with stakeholders across the Group to identify talent priorities and drive business capability and the development of key skills, in line with the group talent strategy.

• Research and recommend external training providers in line with the business’ requirements with a future lens to ensure talent development meets demand.

• Lead the delivery of key L&D projects, ensuring consultation/collaboration with stakeholders, creation/selection of content and delivery. This to include:

• Management Development, with the aim of building manager capability.

• Career pathways, great career conversations, and building practical development plans.

• Provide ad hoc guidance and recommendations to internal stakeholder on development requirements as the subject matter expert.

• Support the Group with other agreed L&D related initiatives such as Talent Development Programmes and Mentoring schemes as required.

Learning Design and Delivery:

• Evaluate and report on the ROI of the programmes delivered across the business to enable effective decision making.

• Take ownership of our Learning Management System, ensuring
• content is reviewed for quality and relevance and updated accordingly
• courses are structured in the back end to be visible and allocated to the correct users
• reporting is effective and accurate
• Issues with accessing content are resolved in a timely manner

• Evaluate the effectiveness of new and existing learning interventions to ensure that they are delivering for the desired need and driving constant improvement.

• Produce accessible education materials for, and actively champion, diversity and equal opportunities within the business.

• Continual review of our induction for new starters to ensure on-boarding content is relevant, innovative and adds value to the new joiner experience.

Apprenticeship Levy:

• Work with Head of Talent to agree and build an apprenticeship solution that allows us to optimise use of the apprenticeship levy in line with government regulations.
• Manage any ‘Higher Apprenticeships’ for existing staff including application, supplier management, coordination, and support.

• Design and coordinate a robust induction and onboarding programme for apprentices in partnership with the business.
• Work with Resourcing Team to design an appropriate apprenticeship recruitment assessment process.

Stakeholder Management:

• Manage supplier relationships, including reviewing cost and performance of existing suppliers, ensuring SLAs are adhered to including compliance with our Legal and Procurement policies when on-boarding.

• Focus on the customer and continually looking to deliver an exceptional customer service and experience to all stakeholders.

• Identify, develop and implement effective processes to continually improve efficiency and customer service delivery.

• Understand stakeholder requirements and build supportive relationships to underpin their delivery.

• Actively engage in collaborative working and the sharing of knowledge across the People function.

Regulatory/ Reporting / MI:

• Oversee the Compliance and regulatory training for PG to ensure that the organisation adheres to regulatory requirements.

• Keep up to date with the legislative requirements, relevant industry and competitors and ensure this is reflected in any learning interventions.

• Collate L&D reports for internal stakeholders to share key information on all Talent Development activity.

• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, FCA principles, “Treating Customers Fairly” (TCF) & other relevant legislative requirements.

Responsible for tracking and reporting on the budget spend and highlighting any inconsistencies.

Qualifications

• CIPD L&D Level 3 qualified or equivalent is desirable

• BPS Level A&B and MBTI or DiSC qualified with good market knowledge of psychometric tests and personality profiling is desirable
