Cement Australia Hiring for Management Accountant Job at Darra Full Time

We are seeking an inquisitive Management Accountant to join our Finance team based at our corporate head office in Darra. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be part of a team of Management Accountants who each have their own dedicated client group within Cement Australia.
Your role will be a mix of management accounting and working with our tools and systems to produce accurate data for our business. You will provide quality and timely reporting, analysis and financial information to allow management to make the right decisions for the operations.

About the role:
This role is not just about crunching numbers – you will provide insightful management reporting and timely and accurate financial information to enable your client group to safely deliver on target.
Key components of your role will be:

• Month end tasks including general ledger reconciliations, P&L and balance sheet reporting
• Prepare, develop and deliver management reporting, providing relevant and insightful analysis and commentary that drives improvement in performance
• Produce planning/forecasts including analysis and presentation of financial outcomes
• Engage and manage key stakeholders across Finance and other commercial areas
• Be the main point of contact for management accounting queries for your dedicated client group, developing a deep understanding of the business operations and objectives
• Standard month end tasks around system reconciliations

About you:

• Relevant tertiary and CA/CPA/CIMA qualifications;
• Management or cost accounting experience (in-house experience is not essential)
• A curious nature with demonstrated experience contributing to successful business improvement programs
• A desire for career progression and development
• Demonstrated customer focus to deliver better outcomes
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate key messaging at all levels
• Well developed problem solving and analytical skills
• Advanced Excel. ERP accounting exposure (SAP ERP and BI advantageous)
