We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced education leader and school improvement specialist to lead our newly established Education Development Team. The successful applicant will have a lead role in shaping and delivering high quality statutory, discretionary, and traded support, advice, and training to the full range of Croydon schools and education providers from nursery to post-16, covering school standards, assessment, curriculum, health, wellbeing and food.
Our Education Development Team works with all 126 schools in the borough, maintaining high quality relationships between the LA and schools on a wide range of matters. We pride ourselves on having excellent relationships with local schools. This high-profile role will be expected to build upon this solid foundation to ensure that the Council continues to work in collaboration with all education settings and other key partners to improve our children and young people’s education and wellbeing outcomes.
As well as leading the team in delivery of the LA’s statutory school improvement functions (including schools causing concern, assessment and moderation), you will also use your creativity and commercial acumen to strengthen our traded service to schools ensuring that our offer meets local needs, is high quality and financially viable.
We particularly welcome applications from professionals with secondary phase and/or SEN experience as these areas are currently under-represented within the team.
Whilst this is advertised as a full-time role, we are happy to discuss part-time, flexible, and job-share arrangements with shortlisted applicants.
Full and Part TIme 36 Hours
Closing date for applications: 3rd August 2022 11:59pm
Shortlisting: week commencing 8th August 2022
