About the job

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant will support the management accounting and wider finance team across multiple entities, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and efficiently to provide key information to our senior management and stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to gain a range of exposure across both domestic and foreign entities, and would be ideal for someone looking to grow into a Junior Management Accountant role.

What you’ll be doing

• Setting up supplier and employee payments for multiple entities (including foreign subsidiaries), and intercompany bank transfers between the entities
• Collating and providing supplier invoices and statements to external accountants on a monthly basis
• Assisting the Management Accounting team with variance analysis
• Performing monthly bank reconciliations for smaller entities, and supporting the AP team on bank recs
• Supporting the finance team on prepayments and accruals schedules
• Managing the group chart of accounts for all entities
• Adding fixed assets to register and supporting with depreciation run
• Updating exchange rate schedules
• Supporting the annual audit, by providing requested documents and supporting the finance team where needed
• Other ad hoc duties as required by management

Technical

• Relevant experience in a similar role
• AAT qualified, or currently studying towards an accounting qualification
• Confident using Excel – PivotTables and VLOOKUPS
• Confident working with multiple currencies
• Working knowledge of SAP Business One, Procurify and/or Spendesk would be an advantage

Competencies

• Excellent time-management, communication, organisational and multitasking skills
• Ability to work under pressure, as the Company keeps growing rapidly, remaining calm while keeping meticulous attention to detail will be essential to succeed in this role
• Strong interpersonal and team bonding skills, to contribute to GWI values and team culture
