About the position

The purpose of this position is to promote all La Trobe University positions to attract and increase Indigenous applications. The position will also engage with a variety of external stakeholders, communities, agencies and media outlets to promote opportunities at La Trobe whilst working with the recruitment team to understand the type of roles that can be promoted to suit applicants. This position will also engage University stakeholders to obtain a better understanding of various divisions, their requirements that will inform them of the type of candidates they should be targeting to ensure greater employability. This position will also require greater engagement to ensure promotion of the talent pool to stakeholders that are available and fit their criteria. The position will also focus on general recruitment matters and will provide expert consulting advice including workforce planning, talent pools and business solutions.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have:

• Relevant recruitment experience or other relevant experience
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders at all levels to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and exercise judgement and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to source, attract and manage talent that ensures quality is managed through the employment lifecycle.
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to negotiate, motivate, influence and build relationships.
• Ability to engage multiple internal stakeholders, external communities and potential professional and Academic talent
