THE COMPANY
We are partnering with one of Victoria’s Court Services, located on the CBD. The Court has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.This is the largest court jurisdiction in Victoria employing around 1200 judicial officers and staff.

The People Services function sits within the People & Culture business unit, which also includes Employee Safety and Wellbeing and Learning and Development.

THE ROLE
As the HR Manager, you will work in collaboration with the People & Culture team and the wider organisation to deliver operational and strategic human resource solutions for the business units they support. The role will primarily work in partnership with designated executives, their leadership teams and business units to provide advisory and consultancy services, as well as strategic solutions on a range of HR and employee relations issues. The HR Manager will also lead and support organisational reviews and HR projects. In addition to this the HR Manager will:

• Partner with the business portfolio executives to provide expert advice and contribute to the resolution of complex employee relations matters in accordance with legislation, the Victorian Public Service Enterprise Agreement and Court Services Victoria policies and processes;Work collaboratively with business portfolio executives to develop and deliver high quality HR strategies and solutions (e.g., organisational redesign, strategic workforce planning) to support the delivery of their strategic and operational business objectives;
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR through the assessment and evaluation of current HR practices, development, implementation and monitoring of innovative HR policies, practices, procedures and principles;
• Partner with the P&C Executive Director to support and lead the development and implementation of HR strategic projects to meet its vision and business outcomes;
• Contribute to the quality and credibility of the HR function by providing customer service of the highest standard; and
• Other duties as required commensurate with the skills and classification of the role.

ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this role you will have proven experience as a HR Manager. In addition to this you will have:

• Demonstrated experience in the entire HR life cycle, including managing large-scale organisational change (i.e., structural change and workforce planning), performance improvement, workplace misconduct and disputes;
• Demonstrated experience in partnering with business portfolio executives to develop and implement HR initiatives to meet their strategic and operational business objectives; and
• You will be fully vaccinated, including booster and be willing to undertake a police check.
