The role

We are looking for a Production Accountant to join our London based team on a 6 month fixed term contract basis, to cover a period of parental leave.

Reporting to the Senior Production Accountant, the Production Accountant will provide comprehensive finance support to both the production management community and the Head of Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the financial control and reporting systems necessary, including using ITV Cost Book, to maintain budgetary control over a production and provide financial reporting to the production team
• Provide accounting support to ITV production teams
• Liaise between production teams, finance teams and the BSC to ensure an accurate and efficient flow of transactional information, and prompt and accurate payments of staff and suppliers in accordance with contractual obligations.
• Critically analyse production budgets and suggest and implement cost control measures where appropriate
• Management of project closure and creditor process for productions
• Provide general financial support to the Senior Production Accountant and the Head of Finance as appropriate
• Champion and communicate Best Practice across productions

Minimum criteria

• Previous experience of working in the TV or media industry in a production accounting or other finance support function.
• Experience of communicating finance information to non-finance colleagues in a clear, precise manner.
• Strong technical and analytical skills, track record of identifying issues and delivering solutions.
