Looking to make a difference to children aged 4-14?
Become a maths & English tutor with Explore Learning and bring education to life for our members throughout this academic year and beyond.
We believe that quality education for children and young people across the UK is essential, and more than ever, children need opportunities to grow and develop in confidence. At Explore Learning, our goal is to nurture 50,000 young fearless learners, and provide a service which not only impacts our students academically, but also develops a love for learning.
What will you experience as an online tutor with Explore Learning?
You’ll get a warm and fuzzy feeling by building meaningful, lasting relationships with children and their families through your tutoring sessions. Teaching maths & English to groups of up to 6 children aged 4-14, you’ll tailor your approach and support consistent progress.
You’ll develop your communication, time management and teaching skills by adapting your approach to each student, identifying new ways to inspire and support them as they develop in their learning. You’ll highlight their successes and enable your students to recognise progress.
You’ll love logging into work each day, supported by inspiring colleagues; you’ll get a buzz out of building confidence in your students, and knowing you support families in maximising their membership through outstanding delivery of our service.
What does a typical shift look like?
Our tutoring sessions range from one-to-one to groups of up to six, and you’ll be working with the same children each week, finding out what approach works best for them to support consistent progress. There will be no lesson planning or marking as your resources have been created and designed for you, and our online learning platform uses an algorithm to assess students as they go, allowing you to focus on bringing learning to life for your students.
This role is fast-paced, hands-on and varied, and your training will match. Be ready to roll up your sleeves and embrace every challenge; trust us, it’s worth it when you see the progress you, and your students, make. From your first week in the role, you’ll learn how to lead the learning experience, and you’ll think on your feet to adapt to each student you work with. You’ll also hone your communication skills to deliver quality feedback, confidently guiding your students towards achieving their goals.
Does this sound like you?
Are you confident in maths and English, having achieved a grade 5 or above in your GCSEs (or equivalent)?
Are you passionate about working with children in an educational setting?
Do you have initiative to think on your feet, and a willingness to learn new skills, taking ownership of your development?
Are you aged 17 or over, and currently living in the UK?
