Role Purpose
As an integral part of the Implementation & Support Team, this role is focused on taking responsibility for all aspects of testing including taking a lead role in supporting client implementations, acceptance testing as well as helping to meet clients’ entry criteria and expectations. As an Implementation Test Consultant, you will be a key contributor towards the continuous improvement, effectiveness and quality of testing.
Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on…
  • Working closely with members of the client programme team to fully understand the functional and business requirements of a client’s implementation
  • Leading the implementation test campaigns, taking ownership for the design, planning, execution and quality assurances as well as leading the defect management activities
  • Designing test strategies for all aspects of testing required
  • Executing testing in accordance with the delivery schedule, including both manual testing and the use of automated testing tools
  • Providing input into the assessment of test outcomes and overall quality measures for a test campaign
  • Ensuring any defects raised during the implementation test campaigns are logged
  • Engagement with clients, supporting their triage activities
  • Establishing efficiencies and de-duplication of test activities across the Product Delivery and Client Implementation phase
  • Managing issues and risks proactively, escalating where appropriate
  • Proactively manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring realistic achievable targets are set and managed
To be successful in this role you will…
Be ISEB/ISTQB Certified in Software Testing with experience of coordinating test teams and activities. You will have excellent knowledge and experience of all aspects of software testing, including automation together with excellent test analysis and the ability to work in a non-scripted environment. You will have a good understanding of different software development methodologies and approaches, understanding the role that testing plays within them. You will have a strong delivery focus, with good awareness and appreciation of client demands and challenges together with knowledge of delivery and quality processes, across all stages of the project lifecycle.
You will have excellent all round communication skills, be adaptable, flexible and able to work autonomously or as part of a wider team. You will be organised with strong prioritisation skills with the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Experience in financial services (Mortgages, Life Insurance, Retirement, Wealth Management) would be desirable.
