What is the role?
The Assistant Financial Accountant will have responsibility over ensuring effective support and business partnering, whilst having efficient accounting and financial reporting skills. The role includes reporting on various international jurisdictions, including the US and Canada, working across multi-currencies entities.
Working closely with the Finance Manager and Group Financial Accountant, the key responsibilities for the role will include:
- Support production of monthly management accounts in accordance with agreed timescales including international entities
- Preparing and posting journals including accruals, prepayments and fixed assets
- Reconciliation of balance sheet nominals complete with supporting documentation, completing variance analysis, and investigating aged / unfamiliar balances
- Responsibility for the Intercompany recharges and matrix
- Assisting in the preparation of the monthly payroll and other external taxes
- Ownership of several subsidiary international entity accounts
- Assist with financial and tax audits
This role is full-time with 2 days in the office (after onboarding).
The annual salary for this role is around £32k. We will sponsor ACCA or CIMA including study leave (further details will be provided).
What do you bring to the table?
- Studying towards an accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)
- Good Technical Accountancy skills
- Advanced user of MS Excel with the ability to handle large volumes of data
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to successfully communicate with people at all levels, both financial and non-financial
- Experience of using accountancy software, ideally SAP Business One
