Director of Payroll

(Remote Position)

Billion $$$ global nonprofit conglomerate now seeks degreed entrepreneur with 7 + years diverse payroll processing and payroll accounting expertise with both hands on and management skills. (Remote position – candidates must be from Tristate area) Will have accountability for the accurate and timely processing of the company’s payroll activities in accordance with compliance requirements. Act as liaison among Human Resources, Payroll and Accounting as well as troubleshooting issues and resolving problems. Responsible for payroll operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of all compensation payments for over 2,000 employees. (Kronos payroll system a plus.) Coordinate payment of all payroll deductions including dues, garnishments and benefit deductions. Responsible for process improvement and efficiencies. Involved in payroll accounting and handle all month/quarter/year end close to reconcile payroll accounts. Maintain payroll-related policies and control procedures. Experience with general ledger (GL) month-end close process, including recording journal entries and knowledge of how payroll transactions affect the GL. Responsible for Annual Workers’ Compensation audit preparation. Monitor and manage payroll related vendor. Prepare payroll related materials for external and internal auditors. Must have strong communication, presentation, problem solving and multitasking skills. Working knowledge of Kronos products a plus. MS Suite.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 – $170,000.00 per year
