appliedx, is responsible for developing the thousands of training courses that build the skills and capabilities of Applied’s 21,000+ workforce. This is a part-time (10-20 hours per week) Instructional Designer contractor role. You will support the redesign, delivery, and continuous improvement of a set of online courses. Work hours are flexible; however, this role requires being available for meetings 1-2 hours/week between 9am-5pm Pacific Time.

RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will require you to:

• Work closely with subject-matter experts (SMEs) to:

o Articulate crisp learning objectives for 1- to 2-hour online courses
o Define the scope of a curriculum for each course
o Develop learning materials (graphics, storyboards, digital activities, informational text, handouts and other resources)
o Plan and execute the logistics of creating course collateral

• Organize and maintain course collateral according to provided specifications
• Collect and analyze data from the learning platform
• Work with SMEs to make course improvement based on learner feedback
• Collaborate with video producers and learning platform administrators to maintain and update course content and ensure desired learning outcomes are achieved

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Excellent writing skills
• The ability to communicate clearly (written and oral) and synthesize information from others to determine actionable takeaways
• The ability to quickly and effectively test and iterate (get others’ feedback, synthesize lessons learned, and implement into the next version)
• Excellent organization skills (must be able to manage and keep track of all the moving pieces of putting together a learning experience: videos, graphics, handouts, content information, etc.)
• Attention to detail (be able to notice things like typos, misaligned spacing, confusing text or images)
• Creativity (must be able to come up with engaging ways of delivering content)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• The ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and adapt projects’ scope and/or timeline if needed
• A commitment to producing top-quality deliverables
• A desire for feedback and continued learning

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $43.00 – $48.00 per hour
