The Role
We are hiring an Accountant to join our global Accounting and Finance team. We are looking for someone to be an integral part of achieving the department’s goals such as assisting us in streamlining our complex financial close and intercompany process and making recommendations for improvements and for a more effective close process. While maintaining general finance and accounting procedures.
Responsibilities:
  • Processes and monitors financial transactions
  • Prepares monthly journal entries
  • Prepares monthly reconciliations
  • Prepares quarterly VAT filings
  • Prepares other tax filings as required (expenses & benefits/corporate etc)
  • Applies cash receipts from clients to the accounting system
  • Handles cash and cash flows
  • Manages the expense reporting of employees
  • Manages and reconciles company credit cards
  • Processes and prepares payment runs
  • Performs other functions as needed
  • Assists with accounting special projects to improve processes and procedures
  • Monitors timesheet submission
  • Acts responsibly to conserve energy and reduce waste in the office environment
Requirements:
  • Qualification in accounting or qualified by experience.
  • Related experience, preferably in the professional services industry.
  • Experience with computerized ledger systems, Deltek Vision and Blackline experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS-Excel.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems is required.
  • Able to demonstrate superior analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, follow through, and meet deadlines within tight timeframes.
