AGCO Corp has an exciting opportunity for a high-impact Sustainability Manager to join a growing Global Corporate Sustainability Team. The role will be part of a global team but will be based in the UK.
This position will focus on driving the decarbonisation agenda across the enterprise. The success of this role will depend on building strong relationships with multiple functions including, Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics and Materials Management, Global Facilities and Fleet, AGCO Finance, Manufacturing, Finance, Legal and HR.
What you will do:
Support AGCO’s carbon foot printing efforts (with a focus on value chain Scope 3 emissions) using the GHG Protocol.
Support the establishment of short, mid- and long-term decarbonisation targets (verified Science-Based Targets, or comprehensive Net Zero targets that include Scope 3);
Lead the development of AGCOs end to end decarbonization strategy as well as the supporting roadmaps and implementation plans.
Act as a subject matter expert on decarbonisation and prepare the structure for a successful decarbonization model design and roll-out, transformation, culture change, and training.
Educate and counsel both internal and external stakeholders on climate change and decarbonisation, translating complex science into understandable and actionable insight and opportunities.
What you will bring:
In-depth knowledge of climate change and decarbonization
Detailed knowledge of carbon accounting, compliance, measurement, and calculation methods for scope 1, 2 and 3.
Fluency on climate risk, decarbonization, and the latest developments in climate science
Experience of developing and executing strategy ideally for a large multinational corporation
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a range of different stakeholders
A plus if you have:
Experience with Product Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), standards and tool(s)
Knowledge of carbon markets and offsetting mechanisms
Experience of ESG consulting or strategy roles
Travel Requirement:
Up to 20%
